Four Arizonans among those to grace September Glamour cover

They're pretty casual when they're not working, but these four girls from the Valley know a lot about the fashion industry. All of them are signed with the Ford Robert Black Agency in Scottsdale and they certainly know how to work the camera.

"The night I got the call about Glamour I was at Pei Wei," said Kat McCreadie. "I was at Pei Wei and I came home and I was watching a Disney movie."

McCreadie is talking about the night she got the call she would be on the cover of Glamour Magazine's September issue. She wasn't the only one who got the call. Three other models with that agency also got the call.

"It's insane," said Sidney Kilian. "I never thought I would be in a national magazine."

Kilian is from Phoenix and so is Kayla Murphy. McCreadie is from Chandler and Sena Nasser is from Tempe. For Nasser, she just signed with the agency and it's her first modelling job ever.

"I didn't have little comp cards," said Nasser. "I didn't have an iPad. I had nothing to show except my face."

Hundreds of girls auditioned but just seven grace the September cover and the fact that four are from the Valley is a big get.

"It's like the most coveted month of the year for fashion magazines," says Sheree Hartwell, the owner of the Ford Robert Black Agency. "It's the beginning of fall fashion season. It's the most heavily advertised in and Glamour readership is huge."

Sure the girls are beyond excited but they all say, this is a pretty tough business. Although this was a big "yes," there's been plenty of times they've been turned down for a gig.

"Even if I get a no, that's still experience and experience is very valuable in this industry," said Kayla Murphy. But this experience might be pretty hard to top.

September's Glamour Magazine is on shelves right now.
