Scottsdale police say a 55-year-old man was hit and killed while crossing the street Friday night.
The crash happened on Scottsdale Road near Skysong Blvd., near McDowell Road, just before 9 p.m.
Police say the man was attempting to cross the street mid-block when he was hit.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police do not believe impairment contributed to the crash.
Police are not releasing the names of anyone involved yet.
