SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A group of coyote puppies are recovering after nearly drowning in an irrigation pipe near Casa Grande.

Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center officials say the pups were flushed from the pipe in the middle of a farm field.

Someone found the puppies and brought them to the Humane Society in Casa Grande. It's unclear how they ended up in the pipe in the first place.

The six boys and three girls are now clean, dry and eating well, officials say.

They will soon be on their way to meet their foster parents at the SWCC.
