Scottsdale Police say an Olympic runner was found dead in a pool on Monday morning.

Emergency responders were called to the Center Court Condominiums near Scottsdale and Thomas roads around 7:30 a.m. after staff found a man at the bottom of the pool.

Fire crews got the man out of the water and pronounced him dead at the scene. Police say he was later identified as 31-year-old David Torrence.

Torrence was an Olympic runner from Malibu, Calif., and was in the Scottsdale area to train.

Officials do not believe any foul play was involved in Torrence's death, but a medical examiner is still working to determine the cause of death.
