SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Police in Scottsdale are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian and a city trash truck.
Officials were called to the scene in a neighborhood near Camelback and Granite Reef roads early Wednesday morning for the crash.
Video from the scene showed a large police scene surrounding a trash truck in an alleyway.
Police say 34-year-old Freddy Tombo, a transient, was sleeping in the alleyway wearing dark clothing and was covered up, when he was hit by the trash truck.
Tombo was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate.
