Police are searching for a suspect who stole a woman’s wallet at a Scottsdale grocery store.
According to police, a woman was shopping at the Fry’s near 90th Street and Shea Boulevard when she discovered that her wallet was missing.
During the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance footage and spotted a female suspect following the victim around the grocery store before reaching into her purse and grabbing the woman’s wallet, police said.
Police believe the same suspect used credit cards from the stolen wallet to spend $8,000 at a Scottsdale Apple store and later racked up more charges at Nordstrom’s in Scottsdale Fashion Square mall.
The suspect is described as being 40 to 50 years old, about five feet, seven inches tall with brown hair and a darker complexion.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Scottsdale Police Department at 480-312-5000.
