CHINO VALLEY, AZ — Chino Valley police are searching for two people and a vehicle in a homicide investigation.
Police say 45-year-old David Batten and 28-year-old Elissa Landry were reported missing, and evidence indicates that they are deceased.
On April 25 and 26, Chino Valley PD and Yavapai County Sheriff's Office conducted a ground and air search in the area of State Route 89 and Drake Road. They were able to locate David and Elissa's cell phones.
A man named Mitchell Mincks, a person of interest, has refused to cooperate with the investigation, and is currently in jail on unrelated charges, police say.
Animals were recovered in Waterloo, IA that belong to Elissa. They are currently being held at an animal shelter.
Investigators are also searching for Landry's a blue 2013 Subaru Forester, license plate WV1236.
