FLAGSTAFF, AZ — While Phoenix is home to dozens of In-N-Out restaurants, Flagstaff could be getting its first one sometime in the future.
Currently, the closest In-N-Out to Flagstaff is nearly 90 minutes away in Prescott, even longer to the next closest destination in Phoenix.
"We have been working on a possible site for a future restaurant in Flagstaff on Milton Road, and we are enthusiastic about the opportunity there," said Carl Arena, vice president of real estate and development at In-N-Out, in a statement.
KAFF News, a local radio station in Flagstaff, reported that preliminary plans submitted to the city show that In-N-Out would take over an old Pizza Hut location. ABC15 has reached out to the City of Flagstaff for more information.
"It is still very early in the development process so design elements such as building exteriors, site layouts, circulation and access are still evolving," said Arena.
He added that construction has not begun, but when it does, it can take between five and six months to build the restaurant, train staff, and open for business.
Due to the amount of work that still has to be done, an anticipated opening date was not known.
