The Flagstaff Police Department is investigating after a threatening note was found at a local school.

On Thursday afternoon, a student notified Flagstaff High School administration after finding a threatening note on campus.

According to a police spokesperson, the note said there would be a "Columbine" style incident sometime in March.

At this time, there isn't any information indicating that the threat is credible, authorities said.

The student who alerted school officials about the note isn't believed to be connected to the incident.

This upcoming week the school is on spring break. However, police are working with the school to ensure the safety of teachers, students and employees once the campus is back open.

No additional information was released. Anyone who knows the suspect or suspects responsible for writing the threat is urged to call the Flagstaff Police Department or Silent Witness 928-774-6111.
