Two Kingman police officers are okay after a suspect with body armor shot at them on Sunday night.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said two Kingman officers responded to a business in the 3600 block of Andy Devine Avenue around 10 p.m. on Sunday for a report of an armed robbery.
When officers responded to the scene one of the suspects fired at them, hitting both police cars.
According to MCSO, both officers returned fire, one of the suspects who was wearing body armor, received a gunshot wound to the face and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Neither of the officers was injured.
A second suspect, who was not involved in the shooting, has not been located. A description of the second suspect is unknown at this time.
The name of the suspect in the hospital has not been released.
