A student has been suspended for bringing a gun to a Globe elementary school on Wednesday.
According to the superintendent of Globe Unified School District, students reported a gun on Copper Rim Elementary School's campus to the principal around 2:30 p.m.
Globe Police and school officials worked together and found the student had a firearm in a backpack. No threats were made and the gun was never removed from the back. Officials say the gun was determined to be inoperable.
The student has been suspended indefinitely pending further disciplinary action.
