A Buckeye man is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend and then kidnapping their young child, according to the Prescott Police Department.
Investigators said 33-year-old Tony Gray broke into his girlfriend’s Prescott home, stabbed her in the stomach and took their 3-year-old child shortly after midnight Tuesday.
Police spotted Gray driving and when he failed to stop, officers followed him onto State Route 69 toward Prescott Valley.
Sometime later, police were able to catch up to Gray, arrested him and removed the child from the vehicle. The child was not harmed, but the 28-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries
Gray was charged with attempted homicide per domestic violence, endangerment per domestic violence, kidnapping, resisting arrest and unlawful law enforcement. He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail.
