Prescott's newly seated City Council has undergone training to prevent harassment from taking place.
The Daily Courier reports that City Attorney Jon Paladini conducted a tutorial on Tuesday in response to the sexual harassment claims that have come to light nationally.
City workers also went through an extensive anti-harassment program this past fall.
Paladini cautioned against "unwelcome conduct" based on race, color, sex, national origin, age, disability or sexual orientation. He also warned against situations in which a person of power expects actions from an employee or subordinate.
Paladini said the training would reduce the city's liability for future claims.
