PRESCOTT, AZ — Prescott police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying an armed suspect who robbed a convenient store on Saturday morning.
According to police, at 9:20 a.m. officers responded to the Quick Stop convenient store near Montezuma and Leroux streets for a report of an armed robbery.
The clerk told responding officers that a man had entered the store carrying a navy colored bag and was armed with a rifle.
The suspect had ordered the clerk to put money from the cash register into the bag, police said.
After the clerk complied with the suspect's demands, he left the store with an undetermined amount of cash in a white four door Nissan Altima sedan.
Police say the suspect's vehicle had darkly tinted windows and had damage to the left rear quarter panel and left rear wheel well.
The suspect's face was disguised with a bandana and sunglasses but was seen wearing a gray “Ecko Unltd” hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants and white shoes.
He is described as 5'6" to 5'8" with a medium build.
Police say this suspect is considered dangerous. If seen, you are asked to not approach him and to call 9-1-1 immediately.
