Prescott Valley police say a man is facing charges for allegedly shooting and wounding his mother's boyfriend following a family fight.

Police say officers were called around 9 p.m. Wednesday to respond to a report of a man injured in a shooting.

According to authorities, 25-year-old Tucker W. C. Ryan got into an argument with his mother and her 55-year-old live-in boyfriend.

The fighting escalated at another family member's home nearby.

Police allege Ryan shot the victim once in the shoulder. Relatives then tackled Ryan until police arrived.

The victim was treated and released.
