Emergency responders say two women escaped injury after their single-engine aircraft crashed near a Prescott airport.
Prescott fire officials say air traffic control at Prescott Municipal Airport received a distress report just after 8 a.m. Saturday.
According to airport officials, a Beechcraft Sundowner carrying a pilot and another occupant lost power and was trying to glide down the runway.
Firefighters located the aircraft half a mile from the end of the runway near a solar power plant.
Authorities say the plane was able to make a successful belly landing.
Both women on board were evaluated but declined medical treatment or transport.
