CORNVILLE, AZ — Authorities are asking for help tracking down artifacts and other items stolen from a home in Yavapai County earlier this month.
Deputies say on May 8 numerous items, including a bronze anatomically accurate skeleton, eight spheres and several air-powered tools, were taken from a home in Cornville.
The skeleton is about three feet tall, weighs 30 pounds and has an estimated value of more than $6,000, the sheriff's office said in a news release. The eight spheres were made of various materials, including a 3" meteorite valued at $2,500 and a petrified wood sphere valued at $600. The stolen tools were various types of air grinders, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
Anyone with information about the stolen items is asked to call the sheriff's office at 928-554-8605 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1800-932-3232. Those who provide information through Silent Witness that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
