A utility has donated $229,000 to a memorial honoring the Granite Mountain Hotshots.
The contribution from Arizona Public Service will be used for construction costs at Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park and plaques honoring the 19 firefighters who were killed while battling a June 2013 wildfire in Yarnell.

State officials say the donation will help complete the work needed to open the park.
The park will be the first in the Arizona State Parks system that is a memorial to people who died.
