The Yavapai County Sheriff's Department rescued a miniature horse named 'Coffee' from a cattle guard Wednesday morning.
According to YCSO, a rancher saw the miniature horse stuck in the cattle guard on Sycamore Canyon Road outside of Clarkdale and called deputies. It was still dark outside and drivers were having difficulty seeing the horse.
With the help of the rancher and another neighbor in the area, deputies used straps around the horse to lift it out.
The horse suffered a minor flesh wound one one of her legs but was otherwise fine.
