PHOENIX — Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was found dead inside a car with a gunshot wound in Phoenix Friday night.
Police said officers responded to a call of a vehicle that had crashed with a gate near 19th Avenue and Camelback Road just before midnight Friday.
Officers arrived at the scene and found 16-year-old Jaiden Torrez inside the car with a gunshot wound, according to police.
Torrez was pronounced dead at the scene by Phoenix firefighters.
An investigation to determine the cause of the incident remains ongoing.
