A Phoenix man is facing charges after he allegedly left a child alone in an apartment and proceeded to watch a naked woman in another unit through a window.
Matthew Kirk, 27, is facing one count each of child abuse and voyeurism, according to court documents.
Police say on Feb. 1 Kirk was supposed to be watching his girlfriend's child at their apartment near 48th Street and Knox Road while she was at work.
He was intoxicated, according to police, and left his apartment leaving the child home alone and began to watch a naked woman in another unit through a window.
Another woman caught him looking and told him to get away. He ran away and fell, where he was kept until police arrived, court documents state.
The witness called Kirk's girlfriend, the mother of the child, and told her what had happened. The child's mother was worried and left work early to check on the child.
He was booked into jail and released with an ankle monitor.
His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 16.
