When first responders are injured in the line of duty, the 100 Club of Arizona is there to help.
Among other programs, they help with monetary donations in the moments after a Valley police officer or firefighter is injured.
A Phoenix police officer who has been with the department for 12 years was shot and critically injured Wednesday. Chief Yahner said the officer is 35, has a wife and two small children, and is "fighting for his life."
The suspect was shot and killed.
