PHOENIX — The Department of Public Safety is investigating a crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 17.
Emergency crews with the Phoenix Fire Department were called to northbound I-17, north of Cactus for reports of a crash.
According to Phoenix Fire, an Arizona Department of Transportation street sweeper was involved along with several other vehicles.
DPS says a driver hit the street sweeper causing it to roll over. Authorities say it appears two people were thrown from the impact of the crash and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
It's unclear how many people were involved or if any charges are expected to be filed against any of the drivers.
