More London flights are coming to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
American Airlines announced on Tuesday morning that they will add a nonstop flight to London-Heathrow Airport from Phoenix.
British Airways already provides service to London from Phoenix. This announcement will give Arizona travelers another nonstop option to Europe.
American Airlines is planning to fly this route on a Boeing 777-200aircraft.
The service will begin on March 31, 2019, and is scheduled to last until October 26, 2019. Flights will be available to purchase on August 27.
“Today’s announcement is a reflection of the strength of the Phoenix economy, and one that only promises to make it stronger,” said Phoenix Mayor Thelda Williams.
