American Airlines says a flight from Las Vegas was diverted to Phoenix after the plane was damaged by a bird strike.
The strike happened shortly after Flight 713 to Charlotte, North Carolina took off from Las Vegas on Thursday morning, causing a crack in the windshield.
Airline spokesman Matt Miller says nobody was injured.
The plane safely landed in Phoenix and 174 passengers and six crew members were put on a different plane to the original destination.
Miller says the aircraft with the cracked window remained in Phoenix so repairs can be made.
Phoenix is a hub for the airline.
