The Arizona Department of Transportation is expanding its online appointment system to include road tests for driver's licenses.
The department says the new feature of the servicearizona.com website would eliminate the need to go to a Motor Vehicle Division office early on a day to try to get a road-test time slot or the same day and then maybe have to wait an extended period.
ADOT says license applicants now can schedule road tests at 11 office locations in the Phoenix area and northern Arizona up to 30 days in advance, and ADOT says it'll put remaining offices online over the next two weeks.
The department says the expansion of its online service is part of MVD's efforts to improve its customer service.
