It might be the most famous tattoo following the Arizona Cardinals loss in the NFC Championship game, and it's not going anywhere.
Tattoo artist Jose Soberanes says he's received some light hearted jabs from fellow Cardinals fans, but others on the internet haven't been as kind.
The tattoo he had inked on his calf, Friday, boldly showcases a Super Bowl 50 logo with a prominent Cardinal next to it.
"The tattoo is forever. It's never going to change. I love it, I'm going to keep it original," said Soberanes
Soberanes was trending on Facebook in the Phoenix area for a time Monday. Some on the internet wrote:
"Counting Cardinals before they hatch? Ha ha! Really?"
Others have made physical threats.
"I have received a few threats, but we have taken precautions here just in case, but I don't think anybody will be doing anything," said Soberanes.
Back at work Monday, Soberanes says his tattoo is all about faith in the team and that's why he got it in the first place.
He says it won't make any predictions for next year, only that if the Cardinals go all the way, he will add something else to his tattoo.
