Possible freeway shooting victim speaks out

Department of Public Safety officials and investigators continue to try to solve the Interstate 10 shooting mystery going on its 12th day.

"I drive it every day, twice a day," said Jackie, whose car was hit along the I-10.

And now Jackie says her trek along that stretch of the interstate is the most stressful part of her drive.

"You can see a small dent which looks like it is from a rock. But if you touch it, if feels like dome," said Jackie.

On Tuesday, she was driving just past 27th Avenue on Interstate 10 when she was startled.

"I heard this really loud bang."

She found a small dent in her windshield. Fearing it could be connected to the shootings, she called DPS.

She's speaking out, hoping the community will come together to help investigators stop whoever is doing this.

"Look around at the buildings, canal, and overpasses. You never know. You might see something. So say something," said Jackie.

Forensics is still working to determine what kind of projectile hit her car. It could be anything from a rock to a bullet to a pellet gun.
