PHOENIX — The city of Phoenix and agencies around the state are preparing for what we all know is coming: Monsoon 2019.
The official start to the storm season is on June 15.
On Tuesday, they will host the annual Monsoon Preparedness Day at the Phoenix Fire Training Academy in Phoenix near 27th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.
City officials, police and fire crews, APS, SRP, the National Weather Service, and Homeland Security and Emergency Management will be in attendance.
On Tuesday night, members of the community can come out to a community workshop held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Burton Barr Central Library to learn how to best prepare for an emergency.
