An attic fire that quickly spread at an apartment complex has left at least five people displaced in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, the fire began in an attic near 13th Street and Northern Avenue. The fire caused water damage to the second and first floor homes.
Fire crews had to take breaks when trying to extinguish the fire due to the hot weather and the heat from the flames.
One person suffered a badly cut hand and was treated for smoke inhalation, according to firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
