At this very moment, this new baby girl is her mother's world.
"It's definitely the best birthday present ever,” Aimee Hernando said.
The day her baby was born, Hernando turned 33 years old.
"I got in, told the doctor, ‘She has to come before midnight,’” Hernando said.
January 18th is a special day for her. She shares her birthday with her own mother, who just turned 56.
"I thought-- how great would that be to experience that myself,” Hernando said.
What are the odds of something like this happening? Experts say not as uncommon as you may think. But still, 133,225 to 1.
"Three generations would be really crazy, and it happened,” Hernando said.
Some call it coincidence.
"I call it a blessing from God,” grandmother Tammy Pierce said.
After several years, the baby girl is no longer just a dream for this mom.
"We struggled with infertility for about nine years, but we said, 'If we ever had a girl, that we would name her Miracle Joy,'” Hernando said.
This is now the couple's fourth child. They adopted two, and had their first natural-birth child 14 months ago.
But this one is a mother-daughter bond, three generations strong.
