PHOENIX, AZ — A Central Phoenix business has closed its office after an employee came in contact with a positive coronavirus case.
ABC15 has confirmed that CBRE shut down its office off North Central Phoenix to do vigorous cleaning due to the employee coming in contact with a positive case.
In a statement earlier today, CBRE said a person was exhibiting symptoms. They updated that statement later saying:
"The situation is evolving and we no longer believe our original statement to be accurate. That’s all the information we are going to provide – we are not at liberty to divulge details re: any individual."
The email went on to say that the health and well-being of their employees, clients, and communities is their most important priority.
“We have for some time been preparing for contingencies around work-from-home and we are now activating those plans,” they wrote.
A spokesperson for Maricopa County Health Department tells ABC15 they have no information about the building.
