PHOENIX — Phoenix poilce are saying they found no evidence of human trafficking after Cindy McCain recounted a story of stopping a child from being trafficked at Sky Harbor Airport.
On Monday, McCain told KTAR that last week, she saw a toddler waiting with a woman at the airport and "something didn't look right."
Police told ABC15 Wednesday, they went to the airport to investigate, and found "no evidence of a criminal conduct or child endangerment."
McCain tweeted the following response on Wednesday evening:
At Phoenix Sky Harbor, I reported an incident that I thought was trafficking. I commend the police officers for their diligence. I apologize if anything else I have said on this matter distracts from “if you see something, say something”
