PHOENIX — A community pantry is providing much needed supplies for families impacted by the pandemic.

The pantry is now available at V.H. Lassen Elementary School in the Roosevelt School District.

Teachers, social workers, staff members, and local non-profits pitched in to buy supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, and canned food.

Every Thursday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., families can stop by and pick up items for free.

"Due to COVID I lost my job and stuff so it's been pretty hard so this will be really helpful," said Kieshawn Davis, a parent whose child is in the Roosevelt School District.

The district says they are accepting donations in order to help keep the pantry up and running.
