A gas leak caused the closure of a major downtown Phoenix-area street Thursday morning.
The gas leak closed Van Buren Street from 27th to 30th streets. It was reopened around 6:30 a.m.
Residents in the area were evaluated by officials and crews were on scene working to investigate the cause.
The cause of the leak is unknown at this time.
