More than 200 demonstrators took to the streets of downtown Phoenix, marching to end gun violence.
Sunday marked the third anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut where 20 students and six faculty members were shot to death.
The Arizona chapter of Mom's Demand Action for Gun Sense and the Every Town Survivor Network are hoping to bring awareness to the gun violence as they memorialized the victims of Sandy Hook and other mass shootings.
Marchers chanted "No more silence, end gun violence" as they walked down Central Avenue just south of McDowell Road to Roosevelt.
"We feel [that] the best way we can honor their lives is to stand up, move forward and let our elected officials know we can do better," Geneva Haber, of Mom's Demand Action, said.
U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego joined the crowd as they rallied after the march.
"I'd like some legislation to go through that would restrict the availability of gun sales to dangerous groups of people," demonstrator Seth Pruitt said.
The group said they adopted the orange color from hunters who wear orange to be seen and not shot.
Anyone wishing to join the movement can text the word "Orange" to 644-33.
