As Phoenix hit 115 degrees Saturday, Comicon attendees had to battle more than their archnemeses, as the heat was none too kind to those in their costumes.
About 85,000 people are expected through Sunday at the Phoenix Convention Center for the four-day pop culture event.
While the majority of the festivities are held indoors, some of the activities are held outside.
Many people told ABC15 the experience was worth the heat.
“This is the second day I’ve worn a [Batman mask], and today it was a lot worse because it’s just been so hot, and I’ve been dripping sweat all day long," said Syd Neylan, visiting from New Mexico.
“It’s still super, super hot, but the experience of Comicon just makes up for the pain," said Rebekah Cochran, also from New Mexico.
