Donald Trump has a bullseye on his back. After all, he's made some pretty wild allegations, but so have his opponents in the Republican race for the nomination.

This week, PolitiFact focuses on the front runner - and how his past is coming back to haunt him.

Did Trump support impeachment of President George W. Bush?

A super PAC called Our Principles released aweb ad attacking Donald Trump using 2008 footage from CNN. In it, Trump is heard saying, "It just seemed like she (Pelosi) was going to really look to impeach Bush and get him out of office, which, personally, I think would have been a wonderful thing."

Is it true? Or just carefully edited?

PolitiFact did the research and found the ad clips came from Trump's Oct. 15, 2008 interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer. When Blitzer pressed him on the subject, Trump held by his statement saying Bush got us into the war by lying about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction.

In recent years, he has modified his opinion. In Feb. 2015, Trump was asked by ABC News host George Stephanopoulos if he still thought impeaching President George W. Bush would be wonderful. This time around, Trump claimed he didn't endorse it, even though he still thought Bush made a horrible mistake.

When asked again if he supported impeachment at a 2016 Republican Debate, Trump never answered directly, instead repeating that "they lied."

While Trump may no longer supports the idea of impeaching President Bush, the super PAC ad uses his own words to show that he did say it in 2008.

PolitiFact rates this statement as "True."
