The family of 3 young boys allegedly stabbed and killed by their own mother held an emotional candlelight vigil Friday.
The tight-knit neighborhood rallied around the family who are still coming to terms with what happened.
Police say Octavia Rogers murdered her sons before stabbing herself earlier this week.
Rogers' mother spoke out against media reports that her daughter used drugs.
"She's not a drug addict," she said. "[Rogers] is not a marijuana getter, whatever else you called her. She didn't do anything. I don't know what happened that night. What I was told, was she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder."
According to the Department of Child Services, Rogers had multiple investigations into the care of her sons, including her new born son who was born with marijuana in his system.
A well-placed source told ABC15 Rogers was using spice, a type of synthetic marijuana, at the time she allegedly stabbed, partially dismembered, and stuffed her sons' bodies in a closet.
Octavia is still in the hospital recovering from self-inflicted stab wounds.
Police have not been able to interview her yet.
