PHOENIX — Six people are hospitalized after a serious crash in Phoenix early Wednesday morning.

Phoenix Fire Department officials say the crash occurred near 15th and Yale streets, near the major cross streets of 16th Street and Thomas Road.

An officer at the scene tells ABC15 that five people were in an SUV that crashed into a brick wall at the scene. A woman was sitting in a parked car and was struck by the SUV.

Officials treated six patients, including four people in critical condition, at the crash scene and took them to the hospital. The critical patients are said to be men between the ages of 18 and 29.

Two other patients are in stable condition, with one who refused to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The 21-year-old driver of the SUV's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was .18, police tell ABC15. The legal limit in the state or Arizona is .08 percent.
