Crews on Tuesday morning were able to extinguish a fire that ripped through a Phoenix apartment.
Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Aaron Ernesberger said the flames broke out in a first-floor unit at the complex near 24th Street and McDowell Road.
Air15 video from just before 8 a.m. showed firefighters on top of the apartment spraying the remainder of the flames and apparently gaining control of the blaze.
According to Phoenix fire officials, no one was in the unit that caught fire; however, several people were living in the units on each side.
Those other units were not damaged, fire crews said.
It is unclear at this time what caused the fire.
