The Phoenix Fire Department says hazardous material teams are on scene at the West Cargo Complex near Sky Harbor Airport for a fuel leak. A refueling truck reportedly punctured its fuel tank while making a turn, causing the fuel to leak on the ground.
The spill has been contained by HAZMAT crews, but it will be a lengthy operation to transfer the remaining fuel from the damaged vehicle into another truck.
Sky Harbor reports there isn’t expected to be any delays at the airport because of the crash.
