Phoenix police say human remains found in sewer pipes in July have been identified.
Officials responded to the area of 55th Drive and Dobbins Road after water department employees reported finding human remains that were causing sewer problems.
After the investigation, police determined the remains belonged to 38-year-old Victor M. Carillo-Gamez. The cause of death has not been determined, but police say the case is a homicide.
