PHOENIX — Morning traffic was blocked on southbound Interstate 17 near Camelback Road Friday morning.
Arizona Department of Transportation officials say a police situation closed the freeway for a short time around 8:30 a.m. Drivers were routed off the I-17 at Camelback Road, causing a large backup in the area.
