Posted

Phoenix Fire rescue crews performed a steep-angle rescue at Echo Canyon for an injured teenager Sunday morning.

According to an official with the Phoenix Fire Department, crews responded to the call for help around 8:30 a.m.

They found that a 14-year-old girl had a knee injury and couldn't get down the mountain on her own.

Photos from Phoenix Fire show rescue crews using a big wheel to get her down while they were tied to mountain climbing ropes to ensure safety.

The teen was reportedly taken to the hospital in stable condition.
