PHOENIX — UPDATE: Detour Dan will make his radio return today at 3:30 p.m. on KTAR's Mac and Gaydos Monday.

KTAR Radio's Dan Beach, better known for his voice and on-air name of Detour Dan, is recovering at home after suffering two strokes.
The station released an interview Thursday with Dan, who says he showed up to work feeling weak and not able to move a leg or drink anything, but was still worried about making it on-air for his shift.
Staff quickly got him medical attention, and after time at the hospital is now recovering at home. Dan says he now has a better focus on his health and is determined to continue his recovery.
The station isn’t certain when you’ll be able to hear Detour Dan back on the air, but he is in good spirits and plans to return as soon as possible.
