PHOENIX — A fire quickly tore through a four-story apartment building in central Phoenix Sunday morning.
Phoenix fire officials received reports of heavy smoke coming from the fourth floor of an apartment building near 7th Avenue and Osborn Road.
Two firefighters were treated and taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries they sustained while fighting the flames. Both are in stable condition.
Officials say dozens of people are displaced as a result of the fire. The community assistance program is working to get an exact number and helping to ensure shelter to everyone impacted.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
