Leader of militia arrested in Oregon, 1 killed

According to the FBI, one person was killed and five others were arrested during a standoff between an armed militia group that has occupied the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and law enforcement Tuesday evening.

Among the arrested were Ammon Bundy, the leader of the militia that has occupied a federal nature preserve in Oregon for weeks. Bundy's brother, Ryan, was reportedly shot and had minor injuries. The person killed during Tuesday's standoff was a member of Bundy's militia.

All of the named defendants face a federal felony charge of conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation, or threats

According to the FBI, the person who was killed was a subject of a federal probable cause arrest. The FBI did not release the person's identity. 

Bundy and members of his group were scheduled to appear at a town hall forum in Oregon Tuesday evening. According to reports, members of the group did not arrive at the forum.
