ANTHEM, AZ — Trying to head north to enjoy a long holiday weekend? The Arizona Department of Transportation says to expect heavy delays Saturday, especially on the I-17.
Drivers endured backups for hours on the I-17, northbound near Daisy Mountain.
Just to clarify, ADOT says there are no major accidents reported. All of the backup appears to be from heavy traffic.
I-17 northbound delays begin near State Route 74 and extend to about Sunset Point. There are no reported crashes or other problems as of now, as this is only from heavy holiday weekend traffic. #aztraffic #PhxTraffic pic.twitter.com/5my7tsr88T

With Saturday's high of 110 degrees, be sure to pack lots of water, and patience if you’re headed out of town.
