A Marana man accused of taking authorities on a high-speed chase across the Phoenix metro area last month has pleaded not guilty to seven felony charges.

Joshua Michael Monigold was arraigned on the charges Tuesday in Maricopa County Superior Court.

The 31-year-old Monigold was arrested on March 24 on suspicion of theft of means of transportation, attempted robbery, unlawful flight, criminal damage, failure to stop, and reckless and aggravated driving.

He was accused of trying to steal a motorcycle in Mesa. A chase through Chandler and Gilbert ended when the truck Monigold was driving rolled on Interstate 10 near Sun Lakes.

Authorities say Monigold also was wanted in connection with a March 19 hit-and-run in Marana.

They say he has previous convictions including misconduct involving weapons, theft and drug violations.
